Team & Collaboration

On the Shop plan, you can invite team members to your account and give them access to projects. This lets estimators, project managers, and other shop staff work in Cabora without each needing their own subscription.

Team management is available from the Team section in the dashboard sidebar.

Seats

Your Shop plan includes 2 seats — the account owner plus one additional member. Extra seats are available at $20/month per seat.

The Team page shows how many seats you've used (e.g., "2 of 4 seats used") and a usage bar so you can see at a glance when you're approaching your seat limit.

Inviting a team member

  1. Click + Invite member.
  2. Fill in:
    • Email address — the email the invitation will be sent to
    • Role — Editor or Viewer (see below)
    • Project — optionally assign the invite to a specific project, or leave as "No project" to give account-wide access
  3. Click Send invite.

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept the invite. The link expires after a set period — if it expires before they accept, revoke it and send a new one.

Roles

Role What they can do
Editor Full access to edit all projects they've been given access to — add cabinets, change settings, run the optimizer, export documents
Viewer Read-only access — can view designs, drawings, and costing but cannot make changes

You can change a member's role on any individual project at any time (see below).

Managing pending invites

Invites that haven't been accepted yet appear in the Pending Invites section of the Team page.

For each pending invite you can see:

  • The email address
  • The role
  • The project (if assigned)
  • When the invite was sent

To cancel an invite before it's accepted, click Revoke.

Managing active members

Members who have accepted their invite appear in the Members section. Each member shows:

  • Their name and email
  • Every project they have access to
  • Their role on each project

Changing a role

  1. Find the member in the Members list.
  2. Click the role dropdown next to the project you want to change.
  3. Select Editor or Viewer.

The change takes effect immediately.

Removing access

  • Remove from one project: Click the remove button next to that project in the member's row.
  • Remove from all projects: Click Remove member to revoke their access to everything on your account.

Removing a member does not delete their Cabora account — it only removes their access to your shop's projects. If they were the only Editor on a project, you'll be the sole editor going forward.

Collaborating in real time

When multiple people are working on the same project at the same time, Cabora auto-saves changes as they happen. The save indicator in the top bar shows when changes are being written to the cloud.

If two people edit the same cabinet simultaneously, the last save wins. For best results, communicate with your team about who is editing which room when working on large multi-room jobs.

Project-level access vs. account-wide access

When you invite someone without assigning them to a specific project, they get access to all current and future projects on your account. To limit a member to specific projects only, assign them during the invite by selecting a project from the dropdown.

You can always grant additional project access later by editing the member's project list in the Team page.
