Account and billing

How long is the free trial? The trial is 14 days. You get access to most features so you can evaluate the product properly. Trial includes 3 free AI renders and one free shop drawing export.

What happens when my trial ends? You'll be prompted to choose a plan. Your projects and data remain intact. If you don't subscribe, your account enters a grace period before data is deleted — you'll receive email warnings well in advance.

Can I change plans? Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately.

What's the difference between the plans?

Cabora has three paid plans: Maker, Studio, and Shop. Studio can bolt on the AI Pro Pack ($50/mo) to unlock the same AI, client-sharing, and version-history tools that ship natively on Shop.

Yearly billing saves roughly two months (10× monthly price). Render packs (25, 100, or 500 one-time credits) are available on Studio and Shop.

Projects and data

Is my data saved automatically? Yes. Cabora auto-saves to the cloud as you work. You'll see a dot in the toolbar when there are unsaved changes; it clears once saved.

Can I export my project data? Yes. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Export My Data to download a ZIP of all your project data. This is a raw data export; it does not include generated PDFs or cut lists (those are re-generated on demand).

Can I work offline? No. Cabora requires an internet connection to save and load projects.

How do I delete a project? Open the project from the dashboard, go to Project Settings, and click Delete Project. This cannot be undone.

Design

What units does Cabora use? Inches. All dimensions — cabinet sizes, room dimensions, and part measurements — are in inches.

What cabinet construction standard does Cabora use? Cabora is built around frameless European-style (euro) cabinet construction with ¾" sheet goods and Blum hardware. Face-frame construction is not currently supported.

Can I import a floor plan? Not currently. Room layouts are built directly in the canvas by setting room dimensions and placing cabinets.

Can multiple people edit the same project at once? Yes, on the Shop plan. Real-time collaboration lets team members edit simultaneously. On other plans, only the project owner can edit; team members can view.

Exports and drawings

What file format are the drawings exported in? PDFs and DXF (AutoCAD-compatible ASCII R12). All PDF exports are standard PDF files viewable in any PDF reader.

Can I customize the cover page or branding on exports? Yes, on the Shop plan. Go to Settings → Shop Branding to add your logo and company name.

My DXF file doesn't look right in my CAD software — what should I check? Cabora exports DXF R12 format. Make sure your CAD software is set to import in inches (not millimeters). If dimensions appear off, check the unit scale setting on import.

Team and collaboration

How do team seats work? On the Shop plan, you can invite team members to your account. Members can access your projects as editors (full edit access) or viewers (read-only). You can have up to the number of seats included in your Shop plan.

Can a team member be on a different plan? Team members added to a Shop account access features through the Shop plan. They don't need their own individual subscription for shared projects.

AI features

Is the AI reading my project data? Yes. The AI features (Advisor, Optimizer, Copilot) have access to your project dimensions, materials, costs, and cut results so they can give accurate, specific advice.

How long do AI renders take? Typically 30–60 seconds. Complex layouts may take slightly longer.

Can I use AI to generate a layout from scratch? Yes — the AI Brief-to-Layout feature (Studio and Shop) lets you describe a room in plain language and generates a full cabinet layout for you to edit.
