Sharing with Clients
Cabora lets you share a design with a client via a secure link. The client can view the design, leave comments, and approve or request changes — without needing a Cabora account.
Client share links are available natively on the Shop plan, and on Studio with the AI Pro Pack add-on.
Creating a share link
- Open the project you want to share.
- Click the notepad icon at the lower-right corner of the editor to open the project notes panel.
- In the panel, find the Share with client section.
- Enter the client's email address (pre-filled if you've assigned a client to the project).
- Optionally add the client's name and a personal note (up to 280 characters — shown on their share page).
- Click Send proposal link. Cabora sends the client an email with their unique secure link.
Once sent, the panel shows the share URL and a copy button so you can paste the link anywhere.
What the client sees
The client's share page shows:
- AI render gallery — photorealistic images of the design with previous/next navigation (if renders have been generated)
- Elevation drawings — dimensioned front-view drawings of each cabinet run, which the client can click to annotate
- The project name and any note you included
- An option to download the proposal PDF (if you've attached one)
- Buttons to Approve or Request Changes
- A comment box to leave feedback
The client does not need a Cabora account to access the share page.
Elevation annotations
Clients can click directly on a cabinet in the elevation drawing to leave feedback pinned to that specific cabinet. They can also choose Overall project to leave general feedback not tied to a specific piece. On Shop plan you can see these annotations overlaid on the drawing in your editor.
Client responses
When the client responds, you get an email notification.
| Client action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Approve | Project status updates to Approved. You can proceed to production. |
| Request Changes | Project status returns to Active. Their comments appear in your project. |
You can see the client's response and comments in the project view.
Comments and feedback
Clients can leave free-text comments explaining what they want changed. Comments appear in the Feedback panel on the right side of the editor (the comment icon).
On Shop plan, clients can also pin comments to specific cabinets — clicking a cabinet highlights any feedback attached to it. You can mark individual comments as Resolved as you address them.
Multi-room jobs
On Studio and Shop plans, you can group multiple room designs into a single Job and share the entire job with a client in one link. The client sees all rooms in a single review page.
Access this from the Jobs view on the dashboard.
Managing shares
For single-room projects, the share URL is shown in the project notes panel (notepad icon, lower-right) after you send a link. You can copy it from there at any time.
For Jobs (multi-room), the full share management view is in the Job view on the dashboard. From there you can:
- See whether the client has viewed the link
- See their response status
- Resend the email (Job view only)
- Create a new share link after making revisions
